EQUIPMENT

Q: What equipment does my child need to play Little League?
A: At a minimum, your child will need an appropriately sized baseball glove and baseball pants (grey, white, or black).  These can be purchased at most big box stores in the area or online.  While you're at it, picking up a belt, colored baseball socks, and (non-metal) Rubber-molded spikes / cleats would also be a sound investment for Majors and below.  Intermediate/Junior/Senior Divisions may wear metal cleats.

THE LEAGUE SUPPLIES YOUR PLAYER A TEAM JERSEY AND HAT AS PART OF REGISTRATION FEES.

REQUIREMENT FOR BOYS:
All boys must wear an athletic supporter.  This MUST be worn to all baseball activities including evaluations, practices, and games.

'NICE TO HAVE' EQUIPMENT
While the league can provide a bat and helmet to each team, many parents prefer their player to have a bat and helmet of their own.

BAT: An age appropriate T-Ball bat or for Single A through Juniors (6yr - 14yr) a baseball bat bearing the USA Baseball stamp.  For more information on bats Click Here.

HELMET:
- CNLL strongly suggests all players entering the batter's box in the Double AA Division to have an attached wire mask.
Helmets can not be of reflective material and can NOT be altered in any way including painting, marking with sharpie, or with stickers.  All padding must be secured in place and not dangling.

The league provides each team with batting helmets and catcher gear.  Players may bring their own bats, helmets, and catcher's equipment if they choose, but are not required to furnish these items themselves.
